Meet Our Podcast Narrators - Series One

As a point of discussion, incest is virtually taboo, but it’s a vital one. Audiences are likely to be more receptive to a story delivered by someone they can relate to and with whom they feel comfortable, hence the juxtaposition of the comedian and victim/survivor.

We invite you to listen to Series One, consisting of ten podcasts. Click on the images below to listen to our stories.

The identity of the storytellers is anonymous in an endeavour to protect the identities of the people involved.

Very importantly, we acknowledge and thank all the courageous victim/survivors who have come forward with their stories. As listeners, we ask that you too, match their bravery and start conversations about incest, share our podcasts through your mediums and help make change.

Feedback.

We would love your feedback and thoughts on our podcasts and our No Laughing Matter project’s long term goals. Please write to us.

*If you have a story about incest abuse, please connect with us via the Contact page.

**WARNING MESSAGE:
The No Laughing Matter podcast series relays accounts of real-life incest stories and are for adult listening only.

All stories are told by the chosen voice of the victim/survivors.  It is our hope that this separation between the voice of a comedian, actor or known voice will make it easier to hear the victim/survivor’s story.

Please be warned though, you may find some of the details confronting. Listener discretion is strongly advised.

If you feel at any time you need support, or if you find these podcasts upsetting due to your own history with incest, please contact your local crisis centre or click on the relevant links below.

*We have bleeped some names and places in some of the podcasts in an endeavour to protect the identities of the people involved.
