Episode 8

“We Must Feel Proud”

At 13, Harry reconnected with his estranged father and moved in with him and his new wife—only to be groomed and sexually abused by his stepmother daily until he turned 16. She manipulated him into believing they were in a “relationship,” using threats and lies to keep him silent. At 15, she gave birth to his daughter—but forced him to pretend she was his sister, fearing his violent father’s reaction. When she fled overseas with their child at 19, she falsely accused Harry of rape, forcing him to disclose the truth he’d carried for years. His father still doesn’t believe him. Devastated and suicidal, Harry sought help at 20, began healing, and reclaimed his voice by sharing his story publicly. Now an advocate, he fights for awareness in a country where 1 in 5 boys and 1 in 3 girls experience sexual abuse. Separated from his daughter—now eight and living abroad—he holds onto hope for reunion, but refuses to let his trauma define him. His message is clear: Survivors are not broken. They are resilient. And their voices matter.
