Episode 3
Rafiki Mwena - A Loyal Friend
"The reality of Incest"
No Laughing Matter's Jess Brain, Tanya Lee & Zoe Carides with Rafiki Mwena's Sarah Rosborg & narrator Mandy Nolan
Sarah Rosborg | Founder of Rafiki Mwema
Sarah Rosborg is the Founder of Rafiki Mwema, an Australian registered charity supporting children in Kenya who have survived sexual abuse. Since 2011, Rafiki Mwema has provided a safe, therapeutic home for children whose early lives were shaped by profound harm — offering not just shelter, but the chance to heal.
Sarah has spent more than a decade bearing witness to the long aftermath of childhood sexual abuse: what it takes from a child, and what it takes to begin the work of repair. She knows that speaking about this harm openly — without flinching — is one of the most powerful things we can do for those who have survived it.
It is this conviction that drew her to No Laughing Matter. Like Tanya and the team behind this project, Sarah believes that silence is not protection. That facing the truth, however uncomfortable, is where change begins.
She is honoured to lend her voice to a story that deserves to be heard.
