Episode 4
Still So Scared
This haunting episode reveals the terrifying reality of sibling sexual abuse perpetrated not by a stranger, but by an older brother who weaponized control, pornography, and violence from the time she was just a child. Now an adult, the survivor lives in constant fear that speaking out could provoke his rage and even put her life in danger. She recounts how her mother’s silence and failure to seek help left her isolated and alienated from her entire family. Though she knew early on that the abuse wasn’t her fault, its shadow lingers: eroding her self-worth, shaping her relationships, and fueling a fierce, vigilant protectiveness over her own children.
Her story is deliberately brief not out of lack of pain, but out of necessity. In a world where abusers often go unchallenged, her anonymity is her armour, and her quiet courage is a stark reminder of how deeply incestuous abuse can silence even the strongest voices.
